its a scar cream and even though it doesnt make scars dissapear it does make them alot less visible, i had a 5" scar on my foot from surgery and i used maderma and its even with my skin now as well as it has shrunken about 2.5" so it works but it takes some time, also, my friend had a scar on her face and she used maderma and her scar is about 95% gone. so it works, good luck =]]
