Upper arm infection after got Td immunisation, is it malpractise?

i'm pregnant 26 weeks, got Td immunissaion on thursday, next day my upper arm pain, hard to move, got fever, call clinic they said its normal coz Td not dangerous, just put cold compress on the side at mid day i call back the clinic another person answer and give same suggestion, but i told her i cant stand no more, finally she said come to see doctor. doctor give me amoxylin antibiotic 250 mg 3 times daily and tylenol 2 times daily. he said come back on monday. on saturday my upper arm become red and more painful, still got fever, today more red spot area and no fever this morning, any experience? any suggestion what should i do i can wait till tommorow, does any one help me i'm so scared, should the clinic responsible with this? please serious answer which can give a solution only, thnx so uch for help and respond

Well, if you can provide evidence that the clinic caused the infection because of a dirty needle, for example, then you could hypothetically sue for damages. But unless there is something seriously wrong with you, you aren't going to be able to find a lawyer to take the case. This is because medical malpractice cases involve a lot of work and a whole lot of money. Before a lawsuit can even be filed, doctors have to be hired to independently determine what caused the infection. This costs a lot of money. Since we aren't talking about permanent damages here (probably) then the only money you could really get from this case would be the cost of expenses for the second clinic visit and the medication.

If you do think that there is something more serious wrong with you, then you need to go to another doctor at a different clinic to determine what the cause is. If he says that the cause is or could be from some sort of negligence on the part of the first clinic, make sure he puts it in your medical records. Then get copies of your records from both facilities and contact a medical malpractice attorney.
