we have about 33000 in our town. and the majority of people that I am refering to are from au but there is a western cicvilization problem i think as I have spoke to friends from all around who feel that they are only getting trainee doctor's or the practice were they have always gone seems to change doctors every six months, paying alot of money for 2 minnets of there time and no treatment. things like that.....people that go to the doctor to get to the bottom of a problem and the doctor basicly shrugs his shoulders whithout even running tests.

You can blame it largely on the insurance industry - not the doctors. I have friends and relatives who are physicians and they are as fed up as you are. More and more doctors are burdened by HMO, Medicare, and other other insurance paperwork and red tape that they have less and less time to treat patients as needed. They have to deny hospitalization and treatment to more and more people because insurance companies have tied their hands. Many people cannot afford care because they have no insurance or because they can't get their treatment paid for. It is disgusting to live in a country this rich and know that there are so many people out there who are dying because of lack of medical treatment. I actually know of a case where the insurance company tried to get out of paying for a woman's brain surgery and hospitalization because she did not contact them within 24 hours of being admitted to the hospital. She was in a COMA for God's sake! I think the best possible solution is for our government to pay for everyone to have a complete physical exam each year if their insurance company does not provide for a wellness benefit with no deductible. These cost about $500 a person. Imagine how much money could be saved if an illness could be caught in its early stages rather than waiting until treatment costs $100,000 or more.
