How Do I Get To Sleep At Night?

I just lay there and rest, but don't actually get to sleep. It really stresses me out in the morning too. What can I do to get more sleep at night?


Answers:

I have the same exact problem as you. I used to stay up until 6 am however. What I do is try to watch the news or part of a movie for about 20 mins. Then drink some hot chocolate. If this does not help, go sit in a dark room for 15 minutes. Try not to watch too much TV before going to bed. Also, if you go to bed late, set your alarm clock for an early time. You will be a little tired throughout the day, but then you will be very tired at the end of the day, and this way you can go to sleep at a good time. Exercising throughout the day will also help. Eating healthy can help too.

i had a prescription for melatonin. I did not want to be dependent on it though, so I stopped taking it. It is supposed to regulate your sleep schedule and make you a little sleepy. It is a good prescription 'medicine'. If all else fails, you should try taking this : )
