I think labor is the worst imaginable pain. That's what women say. I haven't been in one though, so I wouldn't know.
More than you can conceive. A person will pass out before dying, and that in and of itself can take more pain than people think it can. As for emotional pain, thats a different story. I think emotional will kill you before physical will.
Im sure you can look at freak accidents for that. But its hard to say since only a small portion of people will endure such pain
