Tempur pillows??!

Question:

Tempur pillows??

I bought an £80 tempur pillow yesterday. I woke up this morning with the most horrendous pain in my neck and back, has anyone else experienced this and why ?? xx

Answers:

In response to the person who answered saying such a highly priced pillow is a "luxury" - actually, they are advertised as being highly effective in easing back, neck and shoulder pain, so technically - if you do suffer that sort of pain, paying 80 quid to relieve it does seem like a good investment, trust me.

To answer the question - yes, I have tried this sort of pillow (although it was a slightly cheaper "memory-foam" version) and I had the same problems. In fact, after sleeping on it for a while, I woke up one morning with pain in my neck bad enough to make me go to casualty, where it emerged I had torn a muscle due to sleeping in an odd position.

This meant two weeks in a neck collar and taking strong painkillers!

I have never used the pillow again, although my ex-bf still uses them and finds them comfortable. I think if you already have back problems, this sort of pillow can make things worse by "correcting" your position when there is already a problem. If you are in doubt, don't continue using it and yes, send it back. They should refund you on the basis that the product isn't doing what the label says it does.
