Should I sue the hospital?!

Question:

Should I sue the hospital?

I had surgery about 9 months ago and I was treated so bad in the hospital. I couldn't get pain medication, Sometimes I would get a food tray and sometimes I wouldn't, and when I did, it was always found outside in the hall, hours later by my visitors. I bled through my gown onto my bed sheets. I called for a nurse and no one ever came. I had to lay there like that for hours. My girlfriend came to the hospital and she found all the nurses sitting around talking and laughing. My friend was livid! I was treated like crap. Due to my health, there have been times when I ended up at the ER and other times where I would just suffer and refuse to go. Just the thought of going to ANY hospital now upsets me to no end. I thought I would get over it, but I haven't. I want to make sure that they don't treat anyone else the way they treated me. It was so bad that on day two I WALKED OUT of the hospital. Thanks for any advise.

Answers:

by all means, sue them. hospitals are supposed to be very sanitary and nice to patients so if they make you feel uncomfortable, do what you must to help all other patients. make sure you have evidence to back everything up ;-)
