Beach-goers, does your cold last shorter or do you feel better if you go to the !

Question:

Beach-goers, does your cold last shorter or do you feel better if you go to the beach during a cold?

My dad always recommends this, but is it true? Does the salt in the air have anything to do with it? And how long would I have to be there.

2 weeks? I've never had a cold last 2 weeks. The longest was 5 days.

Answers:

Nothing can change how long your cold lasts. There is an old saying: If you do nothing, a cold lasts 14 days. If you go to the doctor, he'll get rid of your cold in just 2 weeks.

But, regarding the beach, like many cold remedies, lying in the sun may make you just feel better, so, why not. As long as you don't spend a lot of effort getting there, and you do NOT run around burning energy while you are there, then, by all means, go to the beach. Stay warm. Get plenty of rest and drink lots of fluids.
