I have to have orthoscopic shoulder surgury anyone know the cost? Also wondering about duke university?

My shoulder dislocates all the time so often i don't even go to the doctors anymore i just put it back in my self, i've done therapy and it felt good for awhile but it still dislocates. I am currently saving money to have this done because i don't have insurance if anyone has had this done and could even give me a roundabout number that would be great, so far i've heard 3,000- 5,000 if paying cash. I've also heard up to 10,000. Also i was thinking about going to the duke university to have this done, anyone that has been treated there i'd really like to hear about it. Also if you've never had this surgury or you aren't a medical profesional and have no clue what your talking about please don't post some dumb answer.

Your 3-5k quote is probably in the ballpark. Be sure to ask if there is any other attending surgeon fees, hospital fees, anesthesiologist fees, etc...
I know a guy who had that done 15 years ago and I don't remember what he said that it cost, but he seemed very satisfied with the results. He has a scar about 4-6 inches on the front of his shoulder. He said that they had to adjust some tendons & ligaments or something to get his shoulder to stay in the socket.
