Where can I find a General Practioner in the Parkchester area.?
I need to find a doctor to get a physical with and be able to write a letter explaining my health so I can present them to
another phsician (a obesity surgeon) at Columbia Preysbeterian Hospital.The doctor has to be within the general area which I live (Parkchester area Bronx,NY) Also I have be able to schedule an appointment online with the physician's office and it has to be availiable in mid to late July because my other appointment is on August 9th.I need the physician to also writ me a letter so that I can present the letter to my
appointment on August 9.

Is there a service which identifies which doctors are accepting new patients? This is the general starting point in Ontario, Canada. If you have health insurance, do they not give you a list of acceptable doctors? Possibly the hospital can help you. I think that the on line appointment will be a problem, but the GP's receptionist will book you in as soon as she can. Your timing is awfully tight so you may need to see the specialist without the letter. If you can visit a doctor anywhere on the island, you may stand a better chance of getting an appointment next week.
If you don't have health insurance then I hope that weak kneed cousin of health care you have stateside can come through for you.
