I think I had a seizure a couple days ago?!
Question: I think I had a seizure a couple days ago?
The same thing happened to me about a month ago, and my sister said it's happened to her too. Two days ago it happened twice in the same night.
The latest one consisted of me waking up, and I felt the sensation coming. I was fully aware of everything happening but couldn't do anything about it. I tried to open my eyes, but they just fluttered uncontrollably. I couldn't move either, and my whole body went numb. It lasted about 10 seconds or so. Afterward I was wide awake, and felt perfectly fine except my heart was practically jumping out of my shirt.
Is that bad?

Answers:
It isn't a seizure. It is actually sleep paralysis. It means part of your brain was awake, while another part was still asleep. Usually you can't move. Sometimes there will be hallucinations. It is not a disorder, and it is a harmless condition.
You both need to see a doctor. You may have epilepsy that doesn't show up till you're a teen.
Medication can control seizures and save your brain. Seizures can cause brain damage.
