Did I pop a blood vessel?!

Did I pop a blood vessel?

My foot slipped under a wooden desk, and I banged the top of the foot. Now it itches and has a big blue bump on top. It's never happened to me before, but a popped blood vessel was first to come to mind.

So, is that all it would be? And will it go away, or do I have to do something to it?

Oh yeah, and it's not like a bruise at all.

you say it isnt like a bruise but the foot doesnt have much surrounding tissue and fats, which means it wouldnt look like a bruise on your leg but thats what happens, the area bleeds to under the surface of the skin. place ice on it and it should return to normal within a week or two
