Answers:
Maybe.
While an injury to the external cartilage is very unlikely to be related to his nose bleed, damage to the internal structure of the ear could potentially produce a nose bleed.
The nose bleed could be related to the ear, or it could be a sign of a traumatic head injury. However, keep in mind that often times the capillaries in the nose are rather fragile and can bleed even without direct physical contact. Maybe he bumped his nose... maybe the impact alone was enough to start the bleeding.
If in your estimation your child seems to be acting abnormally after the fall (behavior, coordination, or temprament) you may want to consult a physician.
