Damn mosquitos...?!

Question:

Damn mosquitos...?

How long does an average mosquito bite last? And i'm sure all the scratching at it doesn't help either... what could I use to "heal" mosquito bites faster or at least make the darn thing stop itching?

Whatever help you can give please tell. Thank you very much.

Alexx,

The average mosquito bite lasts anywhere from about 3 days to a week. The more you scratch at it, the more likely you will create a scab and make the bite's presence prolonged. You can't exactly make the bite heal faster, but there are things you can do to take the itch out. Personally, to keep them away, I rub my skin down with dryer sheets. They HATE those!! To get the itch out of a bite, use a q-tip with a dab of ammonia. Yeah, the stuff to clean your house. It works wonders. The clear kind is preferred, but it really doesn't matter as long as it is ammonia. That will get the itch out. Tea Tree Oil also works very well, too. I hate mosquitoes, so I am more than willing to share everything I know about how to repel those little flying spawns of Satan. Best of luck!
