Should i get them out?

My tonsils swell and it is hard to eat and swollow and it last about 3 days i get it about once or twice a month, i want my tonsils out for good reasons.

I do singing and im worried my voice will be perminately damaged if i dont get them out

I get it 1-2 times a month and find it very annoying

However my mum doesnt want me to..
In my opinion i should what do you think and why?

Right i'll go to the doctors, do i go when my tonsils are still painful or can i go at anytime?

Hm if i go to the doctors, and he says that i need them out, how long after iget told will they do the 'opersation' , days, weeks, months?

Also how long does it take?
How do they put you on aneasthetics?
How long does it take to heal?
Whats the risk of the 'operation' going wrong?
