Help with cat with broken paw?!

Question:

Help with cat with broken paw?

My cat came into my room with its front paw flattend and arm swollen. I cant get to the vet till morning even then cant afford any treatment. Help what should i do.

Answers:

The cat will not allow you to put any kind of bandage on it and leave it alone, so don't even try. Without xrays, you don't know how much damage is there. You may actually do more harm than good. The best thing you can do is just to give the cat a comfortable, quiet place to rest. Animals in pain can bite without meaning to, so it's better to just let the animal get themselves comfortable. Pet gently, talk softly, but then just back off.

The cat does need medical attention even if you can't pay for it. In the morning, call around and find a vet that is open, explain the entire situation, and see what can be done. Barter your services in exchange for the bill. If the vet will not work with you as far as money is concerned, try the Human Society and explain the situation to them.
