Workers rights for injuries?!

Question:

Workers rights for injuries?

so, earlier this week I got injured at work (UPS) I was lifting up a box that wasn't weighed (they are supposed to be weighed) after I moved it I felt pain and reported it to my supervisor, who said "if it still hurts at the end of the day we'll file a report... well at the end of the day it didn't hurt so I went home.

It started hurting again yesterday after I left work, and i didn't feel the pain at work (so i didn't report that until today... it keeps popping and is painful to rotate (not to the extreme, but I don't move it if I don't have to...
What should I do?

Answers:

First of all, the supervisor was to check how you got injured, and find the one who was unresponsible for not weighing the box on time. Then your supervisor has to write the report with you and note on it with a special drawing the area affected and the degree of the pain. After the report is written in detail, he/she then proceeds to take you to the emergency room for x-rays to determine how you are. If the x-rays are negative but there is still paink, the doctor will suscribe medication and possible you will be out of work for a few days to take care of yourself and might refer you to a specialist. This the supervisor will have to add this to the report with copies of the emergency room findings and decision made by the doctor with his/her recomendations. There is a chance that you have to go to the State Compensation with the emergency room documents and medications to futher treatment there under specialists care with the proper therapy and treatment. This accident or injury is to be reported and taken care of with in 24 hours and not wait. I went through this, and I wound up 5 years with State Compensation for 2 surguries, medications, therapies, treatments and I ended up with a 90% loss of the use of my left hand and arm which I use for writing. You may have to report the failure of your boss for not taking you on time to the hospital. Now, without your supervisor you can go to the hospital emergency room and they will refer you to State Comp to proceed. This I did and the owner of the restaurant wound up paying me over the 5 year period, my diets, and all that went with it even the money awarded to me by law for the loss of my arm and hand. By the way, I was at McDonalds working when my injury occured and the boss told me to keep on working that it was part of the job. This I reported.
