Does this sound strange to anyone else?!

Question: Does this sound strange to anyone else?
So, I went with my boyfriend to his doctor's appointment today. He recently broke his leg and was going in to get the all clear. He had had a X-ray Monday so they were 100% sure his leg was healed before taking the cast off. Anyway, the doctor never gave him a copy of the X-ray. I thought that was strange so I mentioned that to him as we got back in my car. He was surprised that I thought that wasn't normal because he said while they have told him the results he has never seen any copy of any medical test result regardless of if it was an X-ray, blood test, MRI (he had a concussion), he's had a few ultrasounds and never saw what they were showing, a CT scan. Any medical test he's ever had over his nineteen years he has never seen the results. I've never heard of this. I've had a few X-rays and I've seen them, I had an MRI for a concussion and I saw days later the results and even picture of it. I've never had a CT scan, but an ultrasound and saw those. Does it just depend on the doctor? If so, what are the odds that every doctor he has seen for any medical test did not show him any results

That's not really strange. If he wants copies of any of his tests or x-rays he can request them from his doctor and I'm sure they will give them to him. Generally they don't give you your x-ray because you really don't need it. Tell him to ask his doctor for a copy of his test results next time he see's him or her.

I'm an RN

That is kind of strange. But maybe most doctors don't think they need to show their patients the results of such tests. I doubt every doctor he's gone to has lied to him.

Could be an insurance thing!
