I have a lump behind my ear, on the earring hole. Help Please?!

I have a lump behind my ear, on the earring hole. Help Please?

This developed after my ear was pierced ( i had a needle not a gun) it is on the hole and looks gross but it does not hurt when I touch it, I can still wear earrings and have sleepers in all the time and can change them although it does hurt a little. Could it be more than just scar tissue? My mum says it could develop into cancer but I do not think so. Oh it does hurt a little sometimes if I lie on it the wrong way. I can also move my earring around without it hurting. So If you have any ideas that be good, thanks.

Thanks for all the help, I will get some tee tree oil and try that and check it out with the my piercest lady next week.

i had what souds to be the same thing when i pierced my nose my self. i went to a perfectional body piercer and she had told me it was kinda like scared tissue not quiet sure what she called it but she told me the best thing was tea tree oil or somthing like that dont quit remember exactly but she also said to crush asprin and make a paste with water and aply it to it (which is what i did) and within a week using the asprin past it was gone

i just read a few other answers and not to knock any bodys answers but the body piercers @AAA told me not to put neosporin or rubbing acohol on it (no offince to any one i am just quoting what the piercer told me)
