Any time I have gotten sores on my tongue was when I hadn't eaten green salads for a while. That may be your problem. But you may have a tooth slipping out of alignment and your tongue rubs against the side of the tooth.
Try putting a tablespoon of salt into half a cup of warm water and stir it up til the salt dissolves. Get a mouthful and slosh it around for a while and make sure it gets on that sore. Repeat two or three times a day. This little home remedy will help ease the pain, reduce the swelling, and flush dead tissue out of the sore.
Go see your doctor for antibiotics tomorrow. Whatever is inflaming your tongue may be traveling up your ear canal.
Start eating at least one salad every day. Cut out carbonated drinks and anything acidic.
Be well.
