How can I get sleep while trying to quit marijuana? Will a doctor help me?!

Question: How can I get sleep while trying to quit marijuana? Will a doctor help me?
I don't know what too do, I hate smoking and I really want to quit but I can't survive without sleep and this much anxiety and stress. Nothing else works, milk, Valerian, exercise do absolutely nothing but frustrate me more because they don't work. I haven't had any caffeine over the last two days and I'm still getting maybe two hours of sleep a night. I'm a full time student and I also work part time so I can't afford to be so lethargic and out of it. I'm worse at doing tasks now that I'm clean then when I was on it... I tried to search for information on google but it was all useless and 90% of it was irrelevant. I've always been told not to take sleeping tablets to quit marijuana but in my opinion that is my only option. Surely taking them for a week or two couldn't do too much damage could it? Has anyone taken sleeping pills while they were going through detox and if so did you organize it with your doctor or did you get the pills for something else? My doctor seems pretty against drugs but at the same time I couldn't imagine her understanding what I'm going through. I'm seriously at the end of the road here and I really don't want to go back towards smoking. People say nicotine withdrawal symptoms are similar to heroin withdrawal symptoms. I've quit cigarettes and this is about 100 time worse than that. When I quit cigarettes I was a bit moody but I was fully functional, right now I am quite far from what I'd call fully functional. Any help is much appreciated, I think I'm going to have to speak to the doctor tomorrow and work something out because this is ridiculous. I don't understand how they can say that marijuana is an illegal substance and they spend god knows how much keeping people in jail over it but when it comes to getting people to quit they spend nothing and give you no support at all. It's absolutely disgusting and a complete and utter waste of money. I hate politicians so much, they're all a bunch of filthy scumbags and the world would be a better place if they all died overnight.

That's really odd that you're experiencing withdrawal symptoms that bad. From what I understand marijuana isn't physically addictive and would maybe cause irritability, but nothing like this. But I guess everyone is different. I would talk to your doctor about it, maybe even a psychiatrist who would probably be better equipped to handle this particular situation. The only problem is that it may be a couple days before you are able to get in there. Are you sure that the weed was pure and didn't contain anything that was incredibly addictive in it? This kind of sounds like that to me. Make those appointments today and hang in there! Good luck!
