Question: I CAN;T SLEEP! usually i get 3-4 hours sleep a night, even though i take meds that R ment to make u sleepy?

there are several reasons why someone cannot sleep:
emotional
stress
illness

Medicine will never solve the original problem/issue.

First of all look into yourself to see what's bothering you about your life etc. Solve that issue - come up with a solution because usually as soon as you solve your inner tension you can sleep again.

There are some herbal teas eg. goatweed which is tasty as well that help and dates are said to help - eating 3-4 pieces before going to bed.

I would strongly advise you to take up doing some kind of exercise - it can be yoga as well, doesnát have to be hard. I fyou are regularly doing some kind of sport then start meditating ü it clears the mind and relaxes the whole body. In this state you will clearly see what you would like to do, what directions you want ot take in your life and what you want to stop doing so that you can sleep well.

But you sleep for 3-4 hours at night. You know some lab assistants (science & research) even do not sleep for weeks and they are not worried about that. Do not worry of not sleeping..try other things when you are not sleeping. And try to leave medicine. Do one thing -----> Just talk to yourself and say sleep is the only thing in this vast universe, very calmly, very calmly close your eyes. But do not get worried even it does not bring you sleep

its not at all a problem. you can definitely see the changes by taking some precautions.

1. morning: go for running or at least do some physical exercises (min. 30min)

2. evening: warm up and do pranayama (min. 30 min)

3. may be you are unhappy...share your heart with your family members

4. night : after doing the above you just watch something interesting which you like (movie, tv etc) and dont try to sleep let it come automatically or else just see howlong it wont come.

What I usually do is go on something really boring and stay on it for a while and then i cant hold anymore so I sleep. No need for meds or nothing.
Or Try what kids do, Count the sheeps in your head. :P



Watch the worlds most boreing movie till you bore yourself to sleep.#2. Heat up some milk...eat a oreo...count sheep. Color a harlequin great dane useing your imagination and fingers :D hehe!
