Question: If you quit smoking at 50, will you live longer?
My parents are both around 50 years old and are planning to quit together, i know that it will make their health improve slightly, but will they live longer and healthier lives?

If they stop smoking they will improve their health considerably and reduce their chances of getting cancer, having a heart attack or stroke. It's never too late to stop smoking and well worth it.



Of course, they will have a better life style, stopping smoking is just the beginning of changing their life for good. This is a really good article about the health benefits to stop smoking.

Sure...but there are worse things than smoking. Stuff that is in your food for example....
