Why dont I need to eat food with Nurofen Meltlets?!

Question: Why dont I need to eat food with Nurofen Meltlets?
Every tablet containing brufen or ibuprofen that I've known has always to be taken with or after food.
Why is it possible for these meltlets (that dissolve on the tongue) DONT need to be taken with food?
Each tablet contain ibuprofen 200mg Mannitol and Aspartame.

Many anti-inflammatory meds such as Ibuprofen are recommended to be taken w/food or milk to coat the stomach/reduce irritation as you stated.
The Nurofen website states Nurofen Meltlets do not need to be taken w/food but does not say why.
The question , Can I take Nurofen if I’ve a stomach ulcer? states
You shouldn’t take Nurofen if you’ve ever had stomach bleeding (or perforation of the stomach or bowel)
Perhaps if no more than 200 mg is taken at a time, the food warning does not apply.
I think the meltlets are more of a convenience when on the go and no water is available.
Best to check w/your pharmacist for further Q's.
I have included the site for this medicine for you to look over.
Hope I have been of some help.
Best to you ! RN in Ca
