Question: My friend got a morphine and gravol shot in her right arm?

Ive not really heard of something along these lines before. However, any shot, pain killers in general can make the area of insertion feel like you got punched there and give you a "dead arm" feeling. Which is most likely what happened here. Generally it takes a few days to go away. Now this isn't what happened but could would be morphine injected into a blood vessel, thats very bad because it can mess with your heart, it also happens instantly so the nurse would of known had it happened. It can be deadly too. I would just have her consult the doctor when she returns, if complications persist have her go back sooner rather than wait till next appointment. Most likely the nurse just didn't get the shot into the muscle and there could be a pocket of medicine, have her massage her arm or better yet you do it, be rough because you will need to work the medicine into the muscles. Again though, don't rely on yahoo answers to solve this. Go back to the doctor.
