Could this be a hernia?
If you have a stomach hernia directly above the navel does it have to show on the outside? I have something on the inside. It shows more when I am standing. Doesn't really go in but can't be felt as much when I am sitting or flat on my back, although it is still there. Opinions?

Do you have pain? Pain would be a good sign of a hernia. Your stomach is quite a distance up and to your left of the naval as well so I would guess that its more you intestines that have the bulge. Is it tender to touch or do you feel a pulse in it when you touch it?
It's actually a tear in the peritoneum allowing the internal organs to push through, it could be any of your pelvic/abdominal organs.
