ankle surgery coming up...helppp please?!

don't work yourself up over it. I had a minor surgery like this before. They sedate you mildly and apply a local anesthetic. sure, it hurts, but you're too loopy to really realize it. Also, of course it will hurt afterwards, all surgeries do. Just don't freak out. You'll be fine, i know it. Also, (don't mean to offend anyone), pray about it. I will be praying for you, because i know how scary it can be to go through any kind of surgery. it will feel kind of weird afterwards, and you don't have to look at the needles, and the nurses will let you squeeze their hands if you need to. don't worry, i know you will be fine. sure, its a lot of stuff they're doing, but if they aren't putting you under, it cant be that bad that they would need to. just don't think about it so much, and try to get support from family and friends. You'll get through this, i guarentee it!

i don't know what exactly happens... but im assuming that they give you something to make you sleepy through an iv that they put in your arm and then you recieve the nerve block. i just had a surgery and they gave me a nerve block but i have no idea what happened.
