stomach pain during check up?!

Question: Stomach pain during check up?
yesterday i had a physical/check up with my doctor. I was feeling perfectly fine and the check up mostly went fine. The doctor did the usual at a physical. She told me to lay and and said she was just going o check my stomach. I was feeling fine and i didnt really expect any problems but when she pushed down on the lower right side, i felt a little sharp pain. it wasnt anything extremely severe, i just really didnt expect any pain. This happened when she was pressing it sort of deeply. I didnt say anything becaus i was thinking that if there was really something wrong with my stomach, then she would have noticed it. I feel fine now. Its not like i had a stomach ache afterwards. it just hurt when she pushed. down. Any idea of what that was or comments or suggestons? please dont be rude or tell me to go to the ER. thx

If you're very concerned you can call up the doctor, and the nurses should be able to tell you if it's important. It's possible your doctor was doing it wrong, but in any case you should have mentioned you felt a pain. I've never had any pain when doctors do this, and they're checking multiple symptoms - is there pain, does it feel like there's a lump, does it make a strange sound. I wouldn't worry much about this unless you do start feeling pain, but the next time you have a similar test be honest. They're just trying to prevent severe issues.
