pain in lower bicep.. someone help!?!

Question: Pain in lower bicep.. someone help!?
a couple years ago i think i was throwing a little too hard while playing dodge ball and my right bicep got really sore. everytime i'd play a sport that involved throwing my arm would hurt like crazy. so i decided to not really use my arm for anything like throwing. after some time the pain went away and i slowly started getting back into using it. i'd throw the football lightly and then as months went by i was able to throw like normal.

so just the other day.. on superbowl sunday i was throwing the football around with some guys and i think i overthrew, plus it was cold out, and i didn't do anything to warm my arm up. so my arm got that same pain, not as bad as a couple years ago though. i kinda just shook it off and played a little longer. it didn't bother me all week untill yesturday when i was hitting the heavy bag out in my garage and the pain came back. i gave the bag a hard hit with my right arm and my right bicep had like a painful shock go through it. today i was lifting, i was supposed to be doing biceps, triceps and shoulders but i decided to not do biceps because of this. i did do some pull ups though and that killed. it hurt just as bad as it did a couple years ago when all this happened. i stopped right when it started hurting and iced it when i got home. it is in the lower bicep, no swelling and no pain right now. only pain when i extend my arm quickly(throwing/punching motion) or do lifting with my bicep.. especially pullups. does anyone know what this could be and what i should do about it?

Answers:

I would go see a doctor. My friend was lifting a few years ago and all of a sudden got a similar pain in his bicep. He went to his doctor, got a few tests and found out he tore his bicep pretty bad, and thats a common injury for quaterbacks, the overthrow motion. You said you were throwing a dodgeball the first time so it could easily be related. You probably never healed properly and then re-opened the wound the second time around.

Potassium. They say by eating bananas you can avoid getting cramps and muscle soreness that pops up out of no where, like Charlie horses.
