What side is your side of the bed?!

When I was married, I always slept on the side by the window and my husband slept on the side by the door. He felt that was best because if anyone broke into the house, he could slip out of bed and go investigate. If they came into the bedroom, they would encounter him first. We kept this arrangement even when we moved and sleeping by the door meant changing sides.

Now I'm widowed and I sleep on the side near the door even though I can (and sometimes do) take up the entire bed. I do this even when I move and have to switch sides. But I do it because that side is closer when I go to bed, not to confront burglars.

I like to sleep on the right side of the bed and I don't even know why. I do know that I would absolutely not like to sleep on any side of the bed that was against the wall. I like to be able to get in out of bed easily and not feel boxed in, especially if I was sharing my bed I have 3 little dogs that sleep with me. They each have their own place on my bed where they settle in each night.

It's not just which side of the bed we prefer, but pay attention to what leg you put into your pants first, or which arm goes into the sleeve first. I find I always put my right extremities in first and it feels awkward to do it the opposite way. We definitely have our individual preferences.

My husband and I had to have a serious talk about who got what side of the bed, and once that decision was made, we never changed.

My boyfriend would say I sleep in the middle but we won't listen to him :)

I like to sleep on the right hand side of our queen bed, I have no idea why but ever since we moved out together I just seemed to migrate to that side.

My boyfriends parents actually swap sides of the bed every night..weird people lol

I get the seventh thirty fifth to the right. Im mexican and we use one bed for our 32 family members... jk

If you're standing at the foot of the bed, I sleep on the right side and hubby is on the left.
