What can be the cause?
i felt a serious at my lower left side of my stomach.i couldnt even stand up.when i press that area i felt extremely painful...it was painful for almsot 4 hrs..i went and see a doctor..and he said it might be due to 'air' in my stomach..or muscle cramp?..if 'air' then will it be that painful?..duh..this is the 2nd time i had this..i need to prevent it coz it was suffering.

At first I thought it may be you appendix, but if it is only happening few and far between (every few days) this may not be the case. An appendicitis's pattern would be similar to contractions. (Every few minutes or half hours) Sometimes gas in your stomach can feel like a sharp pain. Maybe you can take gas x or beano with the meals that have gassy foods. (Broccoli, Beans, ect.)
