Epileptic fit yesterday? Advice..?!

Question: Epileptic fit yesterday? Advice..?
Hi all, i was diagnosed with epilepsy about years ago. I have not had a fit for about 3 years, but yesterday had a "funny turn". I used to get fits, as drank too much, didnt sleep alot and never ate - but this means yesterday has no explanation.
I was out with my daughter, my 2 friends and her little boy - bridesmaid shopping. I had not eaten breakfast ( as never do really). We were ina shop with wierd lighting ( very bright), I came over funny, with my eyes, going "blotchy vision", i felt dizzy and shaky. People around me felt distant. I am being told by friends it could be low blood sugar. It scared me so much - as have not had one for ages. I didnt have a seizure - just what i explained. When we went to the next shop, i felt the same except very dizzy and shaky. I had to go and sit down in the changing cubicle as the shop did not have any chairs!?
After eating, I felt a little better, but my head still felt like it was shaking and i was not fully "with it".
Can anyone expand on what this could be. Am waiting to hear from dr this morning, but it has sent me into panic mode as I am alone at home all day with my 15 month old daughter. Feel "not with it today", very scary!
Hope you can help
Thanks
Amanda

Could be any number of things ranging from not eating enough or properly to being dehydrated and needing a sugar boost for want of a better term.

Sounds as though you had petite mal but not eating will not help.

Hi Amanda,
It well could be due to the fact that you are not eating properly. Skipping breakfast is never a good idea...
Try and watch your diet and always make sure you have a breakfast.
I understand you must be worried but it is important to stay calm. I'm sure your doctor will get back to you shortly.
May be you can call one of your friends and ask them to keep you a company for a day?..
