THROBBING pain in thumb so bad why can't i sleep?!
Question: THROBBING pain in thumb so bad why can't i sleep?
I started having a little pain early in the day yesterday and it started to pick up more throughout the rest of the day. By the end of the night, i was having so much pain i couldn't even fall asleep, and have been up for nearly 24 hours straight. I'm definitely tired enough to sleep, but this pain just won't go away no matter what i do. I've iced it, which makes it hurt more, taken extra strength asprin, which did nothing for it, and ended up wrapping my arm from the elbow to the wrist, just to lessen the blood flow to my thumb, due to the fact that it feels like a heavy blood flow is going to my thumb, although it is neither red nor swollen. I put neosporin on it, which helped a little for about 5 minutes before making a bruise appear, which has now turned to a yellow puss looking bruise on top of the blue one, on a spot partially above and below my fingernail. With my arm wrapped, the bruise is basically the only part hurting to ridiculous pain levels. It also still hurts pretty badly at the top of my thumb tho. Any suggestions?? Any help is greatly appreciated i would love to catch some ZzZzZzz's..
