Cardio without use of legs at home?!

Question:

Cardio without use of legs at home?

Hi guys. I broke my right ankle a month or two ago doing, and I was wondering if any of you had any ideas for doing cardiovascular exercises without the ability to use my leg. I'd prefer exercises that can be done without gym equipment except maybe weights because I will not have access to a gym. I admit sadly that I'm out of shape and I need to be able to get fit again as soon as possible. Any help would be much appreciated.

Answers:

Any movement can be classified as exercise as long as it is strenuous. Try stretching exercises using your upper body and arm curls and lifts using some light hand weights or bottles of water. As long as you are getting your heart rate up, it is cardio. Do leg lifts with your good leg while laying on your back, as well as crunches and sit ups. Sit on the floor with your legs in front of you and stretch from the waist trying to reach your toes. Hold each stretch for 10 seconds.
Good luck, hope this helps.
