Answers:

Your ear, nose and sinuses are interconnected. The middle ear is connected to the back of the nose by a short narrow tube, the Eustachian tube. This tube normally opens when we yawn or swallow to allow secretions to drain from the middle ear.

A cold or allergy can block the Eustachian tube due to congestion in the nasal lining. This prevents the normal flow of fluid from the middle ear. The fluid begins to build up often causing dulled hearing, tinnitus (noises in the ear), sometimes pain.

Try an antihistamine, take your pharmacist's advice as some make people drowsy.

To pop your ear, and to probably help your head cold at the same time, you can free up your neck muscles for they go up just inside of your ears and when they are tight they can press into the nerves for your ears to cause that problem. Tight neck muscles will back up the wastes in your head for a head cold as well. To get rid of those problems you have to free up your neck muscles and here's how to do that:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about two minutes, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

try decongestants. u might be on pseudophed already, but that really should help. don't sleep on that side if you can help it, and it will eventually go away.
