How do i treat this pain in my butt?!

Question: How do i treat this pain in my butt?
I weight lift quite frequently and about the beginning of january my right buttock started to hurt as I was sitting in class, no adjustments i made alleviated the pain. then about a week ago i went to test in weight lifting for football, one of the lifts was squatting, i managed to get 295lbs before the pain was too much. when i got home my right buttock was in so much pain i could not squat down to pick anything up or bring my leg up to walk upstairs, i still have the pain and I was wondering what is causing it and what can I do to fix it? im a 16 year old male and i weigh 146 lbs

That depends on what kind of pain it is. Is it a soft tissue muscular pain. You could have strained a muscle or ligament in lifting weights. If the pain is from the bone that you sit on to the sacrum it could be the sacrotuberous ligament.Sometimes it doesn't hurt right away but a day or two later. It will heal in time. Use ice for a new injury or if you have swelling. If it is muscle soreness use heat on it. Massage will help it heal faster and help the collagen fibers repair correctly in the damaged tissue. Caution, if you continue to use and strain it you could hurt it worse and cause more damage and it will take longer to heal up. If it feels like more than a soft tissue injury go see a Dr.

Go to a doctor or a physiotherapist, and/or cut out the weight lifting for a few days until it's better. You've probably pulled something.
