How long do bug bites usually last?

I have 2 HUGE bug bites!! One is behind the knee(where you bend it) and the other one is a couple inches away from my ankle and both of them hurt and itch really bad. I put this Aveeno stuff on and it doesn't really work. What else could i do to make is better?? Also please answer my main question also.

I am surprised. I have actually done a good job of not itching it, except for once earlier today, I had to scracth it really hard but that was the only time.

I am guessing that it is most likely bug bites.

Depending on the insect, the itching can last for many days. Try this: press your fingernail into the bite. Then make an X with your fingernail going in the opposite direction. For some reason it helps with the itching. Also, a baking soda paste helps too. Apply it to the bite. Don't worry if it gets all over your furniture, it won't hurt it. Keep putting it on. Just baking soda and a tiny bit of water mixed together......good luck! They are annoying.
