How much would it cost for a ankle X-Ray?!


Question: How much would it cost for a ankle X-Ray?
Around my right ankle has been hurting for a while. My left ankle doesn't hurt so not tired or anything. Is there maybe something wrong with my ankle? I live in Southern California. How much with insurance, and how much without insurance??

Depends. In the US in order to get an X-ray, you have to get a physician to order one for you and they will insist on seeing you in the office. Usually office visits will run anywhere from $75-125 and the X-rays will run around $200-300. So, figure $275-425 without insurance. With Insurance if you don't have a deductible, figure you pay 20% per visit and both the office visit and X-Ray are separate visits, so $15-25 for the doc and $40-60 for the X-Ray, so $55-85 with insurance if you have no deductible.
