What could be causing the numbness in my hand?!

Question: What could be causing the numbness in my hand?
Hi, okay so today my right hand has been feeling weird. My fingertips have occasionally been feeling numb and last night I woke up to find my whole right arm completely numb. I kept moving it and clutching a fist so that made it go away but I'm not too sure if I was sleeping on it because I was freezing cold or if it's something else. Could the cold weather we've been having also be a cause? I don't have any heart problems, high blood pressure or diabetes and I'm 16 yrs. old, so any ideas on what could be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Answers:

cold weather can make extremities cold and numb, that should go away when you warm up

other possibilities are a pinched nerve or poor circulation

pinched nerves can heal on their own in a few days

I'd say give it a few days and then see a doctor if you are not better

The general rule is all pain starts at the neck and works southward to the hand. This might be an isolated incident. Just keep notes on how many times this happens. If you see a pattern or if it happening every single night then you need to see a doctor, Yes the cold could be a factor but you shouldn't be waking up with a numb arm. Often times when we are very tired we fall asleep and only sleep the whole night on one side. We temporary cut the blood circulation off from the side that we are sleeping on.

CARPAL TUNNEL. You dont use the computer equipment properly DUH. If you cant pick stuff up or move your hand then you just go get the surgery done. Its take like 3 mins and your out.

If you are at the computer a lot and use that hand the most it could be carpal tunnel.

Maybe u stopped blood circulation
