Back Pain, Please Help?!

Question: Back Pain, Please Help?
I have been having back pain in my Sacrum area. It is sharp, and stays for a long time. After I run or workout it gets worse. It is even tender to the touch, almost like its bruised or something. It is one of the two bumps in between the Dimple of my lower back. Sometimes it causes pain to run down my legs, and into my knees. Please, let me know what you think?
Thank You!

Hello Dear,

Sciatica is a set of symptoms including pain. Sciatica is irritation of the sciatic nerve that passes down the back of each thigh.

The sciatic nerve arises from the lower spine on either side and travels deep in the pelvis to the lower buttocks. From there, it passes along the back of each upper leg and divides at the knee into branches that go to the feet.

Sciatica typically causes pain that shoots down the back of one thigh or buttock. Sciatica pain is often burning, tingling, muscular weakness, pins and needles, or numbness. Typically on one side of the leg. Pain may also be present on one side of the buttocks that may worsens when seated for a long time.

When muscles tighten and shorten, it causes even more muscle fibres than
are needed for good posture to also contract at the same time.

This means that these muscle fibres are working over-time and are
shortening the muscle, which in turn restricts the range of movement of that
muscle.

Also because the muscle is shorter it has to contract even more to
do the same amount of work as a relaxed, longer muscle. As a result of the muscle having to work even harder lactic acid builds up quicker in the muscle which causes muscle fatigue and pain.

The solution to this problem is simple! I have found some exercises for
lower back pain relief and they release the tension and reduce the pain.
