Why won't they let you fill it in the country you got it? I hear they're a lot easier to get that prescription, but just call ahead of time before you make the trip.

Not unless you've made arrangements ahead of time, and you'd better have a good reason for it. OxyContin is a DEA Schedule II controlled substance, and you're only supposed to get it at one pharmacy. As you know it also means you can only get a month's supply, and can only have it filled with a new prescription each time. Of course it's up to the Canadians as to whether or not to fill it, but they typically follow the same regulations concerning non-local prescription fills.
