I Just Got Shocked? What Should I Do?!

Question: I Just Got Shocked? What Should I Do?
I was putting off a fan and it wasn't completely off, so I picked it up and got shocked. I'm shaky and my pinkie is going numb. Also, my hand is in pain. What's wrong? What should I do? Am I okay?

Answers:

If you're able to talk and have no open wounds where you were shocked then you are probably fine. I have shocked myself with wet cords etc quite a few times and I know exactly the numbness you are talking about, it also can hurt. It will go away after awhile. If you do find yourself having a hard time or the pain gets worse then you should go in and see your doctor.

Been shocked before.

Hey! Hasn't everyone, at some time, put there hand out and got a little shock? I believe you are being a bit dramatic, since you've recovered enough to go on line etc......Take a nice hot bath/shower and get yourself something to eat/drink.

It's happened to me a few times.

I've gotten shocked before and felt the same way. It's not serious. You can always call your doctor and he'll say if it's serious and what you can do. I don't think it is, though.

Have a cup of tea and a nice sit down. If you are okay enough to post a Q on here then you'll be alright.
