Question: My doctor cut off the dried blood on my wound which made me bleed more and he claims that it makes the wound?
i got this wound when i fought with my cousin and she dug her nails on my arm and scraped it. the top layers at a particular place got ripped off. it looks like a bite mark and it bled a lot. it was hard to stop the bleeding so i went to hospital to get it dressed. after 2 sittings, it was still raw and they used this chlorohexidine gauze dressing on it. i had to change the dressing every two days. and they used this gauze on thursday. i was asked to use painkiller whenever it ached
today my wound had some dried blood and the doctor cut it off with scissors making it bleed more and says that this makes the wound heal faster. they dressed it up and used the gauze again
my wound hurts more today. i was wondering if what he said is really true?
i asked this question because many hospitals in my area scam patients. like once a doctor told me i have tb and made me do mri scan and everything and put me on medication and after a while reveals that its just a lung infection. i was wondering if this was some sort of scam too

while inducing a bleed like this can help, it can also lead to infection. keep an eye on the wound for redness, swelling and puss. also watch self for fever, and for pete's sake find a clinic...stop going to that hospital if you don't trust them
No need to go to a hospital or a doctor for scratches. Just wash it well with soap and hot water and rinse it with peroxide. When it dries, apply triple antibiotic ointment and bandage it. Keep applying the antibiotic daily and change your bandage daily until you no longer need to. Doctors and hospitals do a lot of dumb and unnecessary crap. And, yes, much of it is for money.
