Why does cigarette smoke in the eyes always sting?!

Why does cigarette smoke in the eyes always sting?
Why is it that it always hurts just as much the first time as it did just a minute ago?
Answers:
Coz life is a beech. That smoke thing happens to me all the time.. Just have to deal with it.
The other anoying thing is having to smell the smoke with your nose while its burning..
