Am I ok to drink after giving blood?!

Question: Am I ok to drink after giving blood?
I donated blood today around 1:30 and they told me to drink 4 8 oz glasses (32 0z) of non-alcoholic beverages, so i did. but im supposed to go to a party tonight around 10:00. if i keep drinking water up to that point will i be alright to drink 120+ oz of beer later? maybe i'll drink less because the blood loss will help me get drunk faster. what do you guys say?

It is generally recommended that you should not drink any alcohol until the next day but you could probably get away with one or 2 standard drinks at the party tonight which equates to 10 or 20 oz of normal strength (4 or 5% alcohol) beer. Drinking 120+ oz of beer is asking for trouble.

as far as I know, blood regenerates itself in around 2 weeks.
i would take it easy with the alcohol.
