Question: HELP!! How to stop a bleeding cut?
I was cutting cheese this morning and i cut my finger(next to my nail& cuticle). i put a band-aid on & it helps the blood stop. but once i take it off its gushing blood! what can i do to completely stop the blood?

Keep pressure on it. Depending on how serious the cut is, it might take awhile for that to work. If it's still bleeding profusely after an hour or two with pressure on the wound, you might need to go to the emergency room for stitches. Keep an eye on how much blood you are losing. If you start to feel faint, you should get medical attention immediately. You don't want to pass out and bleed to death. Is someone with you? If not, can you call someone? Don't stitch it yourself!

I'm sure you have a sewing kit. Get it and sew shut the wound. Be sure to get an unopened bottled of whisky, drink half the bottle and pour the rest on the wound before you do the sewing
