ok, i am ten weeks pregnant and have really bad backache low down to my right side just above the top of my bottom. It has come on just today and has got worse this past hour and have been struggling to sleep because of it. Any one else had this or know what it could be? iv had a scan at 9 weeks which showed the heartbeat and that baby was growing well. could something be wrong with the baby?

I agree, it is your sciatic nerve being pinched and has nothing to do with your baby except the extra weight of the baby is causing you to pinch your sciatic nerve.
Sitting especially hard surfaces aggravate the heck of the sciatic nerve. When sitting, sit in chairs you can elevate your legs. This will elevate the pressure on the nerve.
Once you pinched the nerve, like you did today, it will take 3-5 days for it to get better.
