Pain in right side of chest and right shoulder blade?!

Question: Pain in right side of chest and right shoulder blade?
Hello. I'm 17 years old. Today, I woke up and I had some pain in the right side of my chest. It also hurts in the right side of my upper back around the shoulder blade. Is this normal? Could it be because of winter?

Last night, my friend and I were laughing pretty hard and and already had some wheezing previous to that. But I was laughing so hard that it made my wheezing a bit worse and it gave me a bad cough. I spit up a bit of mucus but I figured that's normal.

Anyways. My right side of my chest and upper right back has a dull pain and I can feel it when it a little bit when I take a deep breath. Also, when I extent my right arm across my body I can feel the pain in the right side of my chest. Is this normal?

On a side note, I have a history of asthma and I still have it.

You know it isn't normal, since you don't usually have this pain.

If you haven't had a cold recently that would explain the mucus, perhaps you need to see a doctor. Monday. Especially if you start running a fever, you might want to to to ER for a possible case of bronchitis or pneumonia.

But then again, you may have just been sitting/sprawling at the wrong angle and strained those muscles with the coughing and laughing.

Take a warm shower and stay warm. Drink some water to keep your mucus thinned.
