How long does it take for sprained ankles to heal?!


Question: How long does it take for sprained ankles to heal?
I sprained my ankle in basketball last week. It imeaditly swelled up and started brusing. When should I start playing basketball again. My coach said about a week. It dosen't hurt too bad to walk on it, but running hurts still. How long should till I should play?

About 6 weeks from start to finish. Be sure to do some physical therapy too.

I had a sprained ankle 2 months ago. It takes 3 full weeks to heal. Don't walk on it ,elevate it , and ice it .
