Old soccer injury acting up?!

Question: Old soccer injury acting up?

Two and a half years ago i bruised my right knee playing soccer. I bruised the outside of it twice and the inside once. I treated it until it healed and all was well until a few months ago. Now i get pains everywhere on my knee randomly. What could be the problem? What can i do help it?
